Our Founder
MISHA UBER
Misha Uber is the Founder and CEO of UBER Search Partners. She advises investment management firms and other organizations on one of their most consequential decisions: selecting the leaders who will shape performance, culture, and long-term success.
Her approach to executive search has been shaped by an unusual combination of experience across investing, psychology, and executive search.
Misha began her career at H.I.G. Capital, where she gained firsthand exposure to the analytical discipline sophisticated investors apply when evaluating businesses, management teams, and long-term value creation. She later built her executive search career with Korn Ferry and Spencer Stuart before leading the executive search practice of a prominent Los Angeles recruiting firm.
Between those chapters, Misha spent a decade in private practice as a psychotherapist—experience that fundamentally influenced how she evaluates people. It taught her to look beyond what an individual has accomplished to understand the less visible factors that often determine success: judgment, motivation, interpersonal dynamics, self-awareness, adaptability, and leadership potential.
That perspective became foundational to UBER Search Partners, which Misha founded in 2018. After its first year in business, the firm was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms and has earned that recognition every year since. Under Misha’s leadership, UBER Search Partners has grown into a nationally recognized executive search firm while maintaining the highly personal, consultative approach on which it was founded.
The firm combines rigorous market research with a psychology-informed approach to assessment and the analytical discipline of an investor. This allows the team to evaluate executives within the broader context of the organization—its leadership, culture, objectives, and the qualities that distinguish those who succeed within it.
Misha holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.
She is also the publisher of The Long Game, an independent editorial platform exploring careers, leadership, and culture in investment management.
“The depth of our client relationships gives us an uncommon understanding of the leaders that will thrive within their organizations.”
