MISHA UBER
Misha Uber is a highly regarded executive search consultant. She partners with an impressive array of clients across a variety of industries with a principle focus on the investment management/financial services industry. She has over 30 years of experience and the rare combination of expertise in private equity, psychology, and executive search making her a sought after thought leader in her field.
Misha is the Chief Executive Officer of UBER Search Partners, which she founded with her team in 2018. At UBER Search Partners, Misha specializes in senior-level executive search, strategic advisory, executive coaching, and oversees all activities of the firm. Notably, UBER Search Partners has been recognized by Forbes as one of “America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms” for each year it has been in business, a fete not duplicated by another search firm. Notably, in 2024 the firm was ranked #22 out of thousands of firms on the Forbes list. In addition, the firm was ranked #15 on the list of “America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms,” which spurred the creation of a new division, USP BRIDGE, that will focus solely on non-executive roles.
Prior to starting her own firm, Misha was the Managing Director of another leading executive search firm in Los Angeles. Misha earned her strong foundation in executive search while at top global executive search firms Korn Ferry and Spencer Stuart. She is a highly effective communicator and negotiator, and her strengths include a deep understanding of human behavior, interpersonal relations, and human capital management.
Prior to re-entering the executive search industry, Misha practiced as a Licensed Psychotherapist where she gained invaluable skills in psychological, behavioral, and emotional assessment. She began her career working at H.I.G. Capital, a global private equity firm now with over $60B AUM. At H.I.G., Misha had significant cross-functional responsibility in a variety of areas, including operations, accounting, investor relations, and marketing.
Misha earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting from the University of Nebraska.
Growing up in an Air Force family, Misha has lived in numerous cities across the United States; this continued into adulthood when she lived and worked in Aspen, Miami, and New York before settling in Los Angeles. She spent her formative years in Montana.
Misha is a proud volunteer/fundraiser for Team Rubicon and the ASPCA — and a member of 100 Women in Finance and Women in Film organizations. She is an Ambassador for the SEAL Future Foundation, where she helps Navy SEAL veterans as they transition into civilian careers. Misha has been an avid Formula 1 fan from a young age and is passionate about photography. She played competitive tennis as a junior.
Misha is the Executive Management Board Advisor to Audaz, Inc. a medtech company focused on helping individuals battling social anxiety.
